Bruce A. Simon is a 30+ year veteran of the Directors Guild of America working as a Producer, UPM, and Assistant Director on hundreds of Feature, Television, and Commercial Productions. He began his career as an Actor and Extra but soon realized his calling was behind the camera. Working as a Production Assistant afforded him the knowledge and experience that ultimately enabled him to join the Directors Guild of America as a Production Manager. His early work was on many Television Series’ such as Vega$ (1978), The New Mike Hammer (1984), Hunter (1984)(1984), Dynasty (1981), Walker, Texas Ranger (1993), & Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). He soon segued into long-form working on many of the popular MOW’s and Pilots of the 80’s and 90’s. His proudest achievement came on HBO’s The Tuskegee Airmen (1995) which earned a nomination for the Directors Guild of America Award for Longform TV as part of the Director Robert Markowitz team. More recently, Bruce has contributed his A.D. skills in the Feature arena on projects such as Yes Man (2008), The Losers (2010), Easy A (2010), Fired Up! (2009), Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous (2008), and the recently released Least Among Saints (2012).Over the years, he has been privileged to work along side some of the most talented Directors in the business & learned many tips and tricks of the trade from legendary Directors Guild A.D. members such as the renowned Abby Singer, and Francisco DayHis acting credits include: Nowhere to Hide (1977), Brothers (1977), Raid on Entebbe (1976), Slumber Party ’57 (1976).Updated – Feb 2018
