Bruce Edward Perkins grew up in the 50s and 60s as part of the “Baby Boomer”” generation. After graduating High School in 1966, he attended the DeVry Institute of Technology and received a degree in Electronic Engineering and Technology. He then spent four years in the Navy and was stationed at the submarine base at Pearl Harbor.While working as an equipment engineer for the Saint Regis Paper Company, he traveled extensively through the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. It was with Saint Regis that Bruce got his first taste of film and video production working on, and staring in, training and promotional videos.In 1983, Bruce started his own business as a professional commercial, editorial, and fashion photographer. During this time, he had the opportunity to work as a locations and production stills photographer. He worked on his first film, Tri-Star’s “”Sweethearts Dance””(1989) with Don Johnson’ and Susan Sarandon.He continued to work in film as a freelance photographer, casting assistant, and production coordinator until 1998 when he joined Edgewood Studios’. In the years following, Bruce worked in almost every department of film production including lighting, grip, camera, casting, locations, production manager, art department and screenplay development while serving as the Studio Manager for Edgewood. From 2002 through 2007 Bruce lived and worked in Florida and Las Vegas where he worked on and acted in a number of films and commercials. In 2008, Bruce moved to Charleston SC and took a position as a contractor for the government. He continues to write and develop scripts and has sold two scripts for potential development in Europe.”
