Gordon Waddell

In 1983 Gordon Waddell started training to become a stunt performer working in the live show arenas in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. In 1985 Gordon started training for film and television and by 1988 he was working full time in the film & television industry on productions from Mission: Impossible (TV Series) to The Delinquents (Feature Film).In 1996 Gordon was graded to the level of stunt safety consultant/supervisor and in 1997 moved to Sydney to work on the hit television series Water Rats (TV Series)In 2005 Gordon teamed up with line producer Michael Hatrick and formed Commercial Films where Gordon moved into the production side of the business working as a Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, Cameraman, Editor and Director.Having worked on both sides of the camera for over 30 years, Gordon is as much at home as an actor and stunt performer, as he is as a producer and director. Gordon has appeared in productions such other productions as Street Fighter, The Long Weekend, Two Hands with Heath Ledger and Wild Boys, but would be best remembered for his role as the taxi driver responsible for blowing up Metropolis in Superman Returns.Gordon’s skills as a producer and director come from an extensive history in the film and television industry.
