Rahul Dev Burman was born on June 27, 1939 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India. He is known for his work on Sholay (1975), 1942: A Love Story (1994) and Procession of Memories (1973). He was married to Asha Bhosle and Rita Patel. He died on January 4, 1994 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India.
