S.P. Balasubrahmanyam was born on June 4, 1946 in Konetampet, Pallipattu, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh [now Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu], India as Sripati Panditharadhyula Balasubramaniam. He is known for his work on When Love Calls (1989), Andaz Apna Apna (1994) and Enthiran (2010). He was married to Savitri S. He died on September 25, 2020 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
